Gary Helmers grew up on the family farm and started going to livestock consignment auctions with his Dad when he was just seven years old. It was a common occurence for his Grandpa and Dad to trade livestock.

The first time Gary purchased equipment at a farm auction, auctioneer Clair Clark said, “Son, if you take this home and if you don’t make any money on it, bring it back and I’ll buy it back!” Gary bought that field cultivator and sold it to a neighbor within a week’s time and has never looked back.

What started out as a hobby while farming and working at a fertilizer plant has turned into a passion for buying and selling farm equipment and a lifetime occupation. Although through time and experience Gary has become knowledgable about all farm equipment his personal favorites are tillage equipment or skid loaders.
